The beacon at the gateway to Cape Breton Island is the Cove Motel, Mariner Dining and Gift Shop. Overlooking the panoramic Canso Causeway, the legendary road to the Isles, The Cove Motel alludes charm and the ambiance of the sea. Located off Highway 104 in Auld's Cove, the Cove is an ideal location to begin or end your Nova Scotia holiday.
When driving on the Trans Canada Highway you're invited to our location by the Mariner which stands 16 feet tall and weighs nearly nine tons, including the granite it stands on. The Mariner was carved by Gilbert Leblanc from trees cut on Cove Motel property.
The Cove is only 2 and a half hours from Halifax, 2 hours from the Newfoundland Ferry in fact the Cove is central to most all of Nova Scotia and its entry points.
